Online courses are organized to make learning clear and manageable.

Most courses include:

• Lessons, which contain the main content
• Topics, which break lessons into smaller sections
• Quizzes or activities, which may be required to complete a lesson or course

Not every lesson uses topics, but when they are included, topics help organize longer material into smaller steps.
