A vote only means something if you know what you’re voting on. Our union runs on transparency, and several rights back that up.

The contract. Copies of our collective bargaining agreements are kept at the Local’s official records repository for member inspection. This is your contract — you have a right to read it.

The finances. Our constitution commits the Local to an annual CPA audit, with copies made available for member review at a regular meeting. On top of that, the union files an annual financial report with the U.S. Department of Labor (the “LM report”), and federal law gives members the right to see the records behind it.

💬 In plain terms: You’re entitled to know how your dues are being spent. Officers hold that money in trust for the members — and part of your power is the right to look.
